MARTIN ZAMBAZ
(he/him)
Martin Zambaz’s work offers a wide-ranging reflection on political ecology and post-natural aesthetics. It takes the form of immersive or interactive sculptural devices that invite viewers to explore themes such as evolution, perception and the relational challenges between humans, nature and technology. He combines digital and physical media to create spaces for encounters and transformations. His works take a fictional look at the present, imagining a less prescriptive narrative that overturns the concept of human exceptionalism in favour of multispeciesism and the experience of the living.
Alongside his artistic practice, Martin is an assistant in the Space & Communication master’s program at HEAD Geneva. He is active in various cultural projects across Switzerland, including BIG and Bongo Joe in Geneva. His work was recently awarded the Bourse pour artistes Emergent.es Artprovalais. His work has been exhibited across the country, such as at the zur Schützenlaube gallery, the GPS du Musée du Manoir, Martigny, and the Zur Matze gallery, Brig.
