HOLLOWS

Collectif Kimera explored holes, gaps, and orifices as political territories with its third group exhibition, Hollows. Featuring resident artists Tristan Bartolini, Cyan Huescar, Hsuan Lee, and Maude Renevier, along with guest artist Leonardo/Idalécio, the exhibition examined penetrability and power structures, exposing how the dynamics of domination are enforced and resisted.

Exploring holes as sites of subversion — where desire and violence intersect — the artists challenged oppression, particularly against bodies considered ‘penetrable’. Thus, reclaiming holes as tools of resistance.

Leonardo/Idalécio’s performance Liquidation confronted institutionalized bodies with erotism, blending imagery of humidity and breath. A CD produced by Collectif Kimera was available on-site, with a preview in the space. Author Alice Botelho contributed a text, also displayed in the exhibition.
