The expression ‘L’esprit de l’escalier’ — that moment when the perfect comeback comes to mind too late — inspires the scenography for the fashion exhibition of JEREMIAH's ‘Teenage Business’ collection. It narrates the story of an awkward fictional young man navigating his first job interviews. The poetic, narrative-driven scenography, produced by SOUPLEX ATELIER, evokes the spaces where the character mentally revisits his interview dialogues: a bus stop, a friend's basement or the toilets of the club. The design reflects his scattered thoughts and endearing clumsiness, immersing the audience into his disoriented world. Designed to be modular, the setup also doubles as the backdrop for the collection's photoshoot. Through this production, Souplex introduces the audience to the distinct world of ‘Teenage Business’ and its ‘stressed, depressed but always well-dressed’ hero.
